Protein Ice Cream ft. Ninja Creami
Ninja Creami has been around for some time now, but only recently have they been hard to find as they became super popular when individuals started using it for protein ice cream! Which is exactly why it was a must have for inside our household— Did someone say PROTEIN.. ICE.. CREAM?! I was ecstatic when I found the last one on the shelf at Walmart priced at only $148…! I would have grabbed another if there was two, you know one for daily use and the other for back up ;)
All jokes aside— a couple months later of using a lot we wanted to GIFT one during Holiday Season and we did just that! During 12 weeks of GIVEAWAYS inside our Wellness Community we gifted a Ninja CREAMI!!!!!! Do you believe it?!
I know what you’re thinking—another kitchen appliance…no more counter space. As that may be true, we have already used it just about as often as we are cooking steaks using the Ninja Air fryer. Totally worth the space for us here.
For the last 10+ years my last “meal” of the day has been a low calorie, high protein snack: THE CHOCOLATE PB PROTEIN FUDGE, which is still a personal favorite, but now I have more options for nighttime desserts, packed with protein!
We know how important protein is for fat loss and optimizing performance.
Below I share with you some easy, protein packed, delicious recipes and pro tips when using ninja creami.
My TOP fav protein ice cream recipe so far:
6 oz. Almond milk unsweetened
1 scoop level-1 ice cream sandwich
8g sugar free instant jello pudding *chocolate fudge
+ 2 oz. almond milk
Hubby’s TOP fav:
6 oz. Almond milk unsweetened
1 scoop level-1 milk chocolate
8g sugar free instant jello pudding *Cheesecake
+ 2 oz. almond milk
Hubby’s FROYO (Frozen Yogurt)
6 oz. Almond milk unsweetened
1 scoop level-1 milk chocolate
127g of Fage Yogurt
+ 2 oz. almond milk
Other ideas to add/ mix in:

Powered PB2
Peanut Butter Collagen
“Go to” toppings we use, have tried & enjoy:
Fat Free Whip cream*must have
Chocolate Chips
Graham cracker
Oreo Thins
Trader Joe’s Waffer Cookies
Toppings used on occasion for deliciousness:
1 chopped up Reese’s egg
1 Andes mint
How to make:
Grab a pint container *ninja comes with two (We got extras off Amazon so we can “meal prep” ice cream)
Start w/ a base: Almond milk, whole milk, orange juice, whatever you want to try!
Prioritize Protein: 1 scoop of low temperature processed protein powder (Level-1 or Phormula-1)
Use handheld frother to mix directly in pint jar
Freeze for 24 hours
When you’re ready to make it, set it out to thaw for 30 min
Run the “ice cream” setting on the ninja Creami
Add 1 oz. of your base/ milk
Crumble up any desired toppings
Hit the “respin” button
Don’t forget the whip/ any toppings that you didn’t want to mix in but wanted on top!
LOG and SAVE as a Recipe/ Meal inside the TransPHORMation app
Pro Tip(s):
-Add in all ingredients (first we used a blender but then realized just more dishes.. ha! So now we just use a handheld frother & then shake it up before placing in freezer)
- Do not use ice cubes or any ingredients that are frozen (can break ninja creami)
-Make sure the cups sit in the freezer straight as they melt, don’t want them on their side
-Let sit out 20-30 mins before blending up
-Use regular ice cream setting
-When using “lite” ice cream setting will be louder + creamier (melted super quick)
-Spin it two times total, once with ice cream and second using “respin” button
-use post-its to label his/ hers or flavors
-prep a couple at a time so they are stocked in the freezer & ready to be made
